Roseland Hotel fire crisis averted

Disaster was averted at a Roseland hotel yesterday, thanks to the quick actions of a fire fighting member of staff. A total of fourteen fire crew from St Mawes and Mevagissey were called to a hotel, believed to be The Nare Hotel on Carne Beach, at 9.39am to reports of a fire in the boiler room. On arrival, the fire service were thankful to find a quick thinking member of hotel staff had extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguisher.   For more information see The Falmouth Packet here
