New recruit: Stefan Wooley joins Fire Crest teamCornwall’s leading fire protection specialists has taken on a new recruit, in order to meet increasing demand for its services.

Fire Crest Fire Protection, based in Redruth, has welcomed service technician Stefan Wooley to the team, who will join the company’s security division, focusing on the installation and maintenance of CCTV, security, access and alarm systems for customers located throughout the county.

Stefan, who joins Fire Crest from another local firm, started working in the industry 13 years ago, shortly after he first moved to Cornwall from the Midlands.

He said: “Fire Crest Fire Protection has a great reputation in Cornwall, and in the industry as a whole, which was one of the reasons I wanted to work for them. The company is well-organised, has a great attitude to business and really cares for its employees. They’ve also got a really diverse client base, with different challenges and circumstances, so I’m really keen to start meeting them.”

Stefan has worked for other security companies in the county, gaining qualifications in alarms and controls systems and mains electrical compliancy, while also playing a key role in guiding them through third party accreditation schemes.

Fire Crest’s Managing Director, Robert Catanzaro, said: “Stefan brings a lot of knowledge, experience and new skills to the team, which will be invaluable for our customers’ projects too. We’re very glad he’s joined us and excited about the role he and the rest of the team will play in moving the company forward.”
