Mike Nankervis has twenty seven years service with Cornwall Fire Brigade during which he attended a three month specialist fire prevention course at the Fire Service College.

He has nine years experience as a Station Officer, during which he had responsibility for overseeing the level of fire safety in all Council schools and colleges. He has completed over a hundred private risk assessments for all types of commercial premise’s, he is currently engaged as a private risk assessor to the University Collage Campus in Falmouth and is retained by the Fire Brigade to act as an official Fire Safety Auditor on the Isles of Scilly

He is currently the only (non uniformed) Institute of Fire Engineers Approved Assessor in Cornwall.

His active service ensures the risk assessments we carry out are matched to the new risk assessment audit requirements of the Cornwall Fire Brigade, this ensures you have exercised your duty of care by ensuring you employ “competent” fire safety contractors.
