Does the Fire Service have to be notified when a fire alarm / fire drill takes place?

If you have an automatic link to a remote call centre that contacts us whenever your fire alarm is activated, then we need to know before you carry out the drill. If you haven't, there is no need to contact us, but you could advise your neighbours to prevent them from calling the fire service.
